Using our NIRS models several instrument might be used. Depending on the application area - dried and ground samples in the laboratory or fresh samples during the harvest - instruments from two separate groups are used.
For lab applications for forages and plant material (grains, grass, maize, rapeseed, ...) instruments from BlueSun, Bruker, Foss, Unity Scientific or similar are used. These are used mainly with dried and ground samples in sample cups. Most of our models are using the wavelength range of the classical NIR region 1100-2500 nm.
Exemplary are the following instruments named:
BlueSun | Bruker | Foss | UnityScientific | |

monochromator 680/1300-2400/2500/2600 nm |
Other spectrometers depending on technical specs might be used.
For the application during the harvest of plant material (grains, grass, maize, rapeseed, ...) on combines or forage harvesters diode array spectrometers or photometers are used. Whiel the first ones might measure several parameters photometer are mostly designed to measure solely water.
