Alligator - Validation options

By default the selected model(s) or model set on the left is used for prediction or validation.

When grouping is activated in the project (check program settings) selecting one model and activating "Use all models in group" will predict with ro validate all models in that group.

When working with spectra from an online installation errorneous spectra might be included in the sample set to predict "Apply a filter to spectra" may remove spectra before prediction. A filter can be defined in the project view and selected here. This becomes important when prediction results are averaged.

When the project settings are set to "Check serial numbers" (check program settings) the program will inhibit or raise a warning for the case where the model has are target number and the target number of the spectra mismatch. It is possible to transfer the spectra prior to prediction / validation to the appropriate target (check "Apply Transfer Modell").

"Activate on-the-fly Standardization" will do the transfer on-the-fly, i.e. search for a transfer models in this project and propose appropriate transfer models to the user for selection. If there is only one appropriate transfer model in the project it is used directly without further user interaction.

An appropriate transfer model is defined by matching source number for transfer model and spectra and matching target number for transfer model and calibration model to apply.

If the target number is empty the calibration model can be used on any spectra (universal model), when the source number of the transfer model is empty this transfer model can be used on any spectra (platform standardizaton).

For the statistical tests in validation the significance level can be set to individual needs.
